Mother’s Day is on the horizon and these two have big plans. What are you planning for Mom?
Did you know that the bowler hat was more popular in the American West than cowboy hats or sombreros?
Cowboys, railroad workers, lawmen and even outlaws like Butch Cassidy and Billy the Kid preferred the bowler hat (also known as a Derby hat) because it would not blow off easily in a strong wind. The Beatles, however, rocked the bowler for style purposes oppose to its function.
The bowler hat was designed in London in 1849 by the Bowler brothers to fulfill a customer request for a close-fitting, low-crowned hat to protect gamekeepers on horseback from low-hanging branches.
Have you or would you ever wear a bowler?
